From the Design & Makers Studio Vagabond This conversion of a BMW CE 02 comes from Graz. Although the e-motorcycle is not necessarily one of the classic tuning favorites, the result shows that creativity knows no bounds. Instead of going for the R 18 or R12 nineT like everyone else, Vagabund dared to take on the futuristic design of the CE 02 and transformed the speedster into a work of art.

A highlight is the retro Bluetooth speaker OB-4 Magic Radio by Teenage Engineering, which sits on the right side. And on the left there is an element that looks like an exhaust, but serves as storage space for an umbrella. Other details are the footboards fitted with skateboard grip tape and the aluminum covers painted white on one side, which enchant with their disc wheel look. The battery cover made of brushed aluminum rounds off the design. And the packaging of the CE 02 x Vagabond is part of the overall concept and looks more like an art object than a scooter. With a height of 3,6 meters, the packaging gives the impression of a toy.
“breaking new ground”
Paul Brauchart, founder and managing director of Vagabund Moto GmbH, explains the motivation behind the project: “When we saw the CE 02 for the first time, we were immediately impressed. The design fit perfectly with our philosophy of breaking new ground and reinterpreting existing products. We wanted to combine the futuristic original design with retro elements. "
