The BMW X5 is actually celebrating its 25th anniversary. And this is being duly celebrated – with a limited special edition. But only in CanadaThe “X5 Edition 25 Years” will be released there, only 250 pieces is limited.
The edition is based on the current G05 LCI, but uses the color palette of the E53. Oxford Green and Le Mans Blue, two paint finishes associated with the first generation of the X5, are making a comeback.
25 years BMW X5 Anniversary Edition
The special edition is based on the X5 xDrive40i with M Sport package and has some design elements from the xLine. The 250 cars are presented with matt black frames for the illuminated Iconic Glow kidneys and many details in High gloss black. Plus there is 21-inch alloy wheels in Y-spoke design 741, which is intended to be reminiscent of the 18-inch Y-spoke 131 that once adorned the E53.
There are two interior options in the Anniversary Edition cabin, with the exterior paintwork dictating the choice. Le Mans Blue always combines with a bright Silverstone Sensafin interior and open-pored poplar woods, while Oxford Green only with the darker Coffee-Sensafin and the wood finish 'Fineline Stripe' in high-gloss brown.
As in Canada, the special edition is not available in Germany. However, you can also order it here via BMW Individually order the paintwork and the Y-spoke 741 is also available. Since the first X5 and its Series production am September 1, 1999 at the BMW plant in Spartanburg, almost three million pieces rolled off the production line.
