The new BMW M5 Touring (G99), the most powerful series station wagon in BMW history, can be equipped with stylish carbon parts as soon as it goes on the market in November 2024. The M BMW offers an extensive tuning program that gives the “station wagon” even more aggressiveness and appearance.
On first pictures of a Alpine White painted M5 Touring The new components can already be seen and I am immediately impressed by their sporty appearance.
BMW M5 Touring with M Performance Parts
Particularly striking are the Front splitter attachment and the mighty one two-part diffuser, both of which emphasise the width of the Touring and accentuate the already fat wheel arches even more. The large roof, which is kept in black, also fits seamlessly into the black and white look of the M5 Touring and reinforces the sporty look. And another highlight are the Carbon mirror caps, which can be ordered via the normal BMW equipment list.
And it continues with sporty 20- and 21-inch alloy wheels in the double-spoke design 952 M. They contribute to the dynamic appearance, but, like the mirror caps, are not part of the M Performance Parts retrofit portfolio. And for those looking for more individualization, there is even the option of a side decorative foil which puts the widened fenders even more into focus.
Will there be a performance improvement soon?
You can also Carbon sill attachments on the side skirts to further enhance the sporty look. However, anyone hoping for an increase in performance will have to be patient. While BMW itself does not yet offer any tuning options for the drive, the upgrades already available for the XM give an idea of the potential of the V8 hybrid drive of the M5 Touring.
With 727 hp and 1.000 Newton meters of torque, the series M5 Touring is already strong, but the end of the flagpole has not been reached. I estimate that around 1.000 hp will soon be "State of the art“ in the M5, whether sedan or touring.
