The turbocharged six-cylinder engine benefits from flow-optimized turbo inlets, a NOVITEC high-performance exhaust system and sports catalysts, which increase the power by 38 hp. This means that the sports car achieves a system performance of fierce 868 PS (638 kW).

The NOVITEC designers' philosophy of making the world's most exclusive automobiles even more exciting is evident in every detail. For the 296 GTS with retractable roof, body components made of high-gloss sealed carbon fiber were developed. They give the Italian car a striking facelift: The standard apron is replaced by a front lip and one Spoiler for the large air intake, which improves both the appearance and aerodynamics. A Rear spoiler in ducktail design also increases the downforce on the rear axle at high speeds, while a diffuser and a cover for the rear camera made of carbon complement the aerodynamic properties.
The side section of the Spider is given NOVITEC carbon sills, covers for the mirrors and special window triangles give the car a sportier look. Covers for the side air intakes at the rear of the 296 GTS also ensure that the airflow is directed more precisely into the ventilation openings, which further optimises the cooling of the engine. And the already mentioned NF10 alloy wheels with five delicate double spokes, manufactured by the American high-end manufacturer Vossen, round off the optical refinement more than successfully, in our opinion. The aluminums are available in 72 different colors and can be ordered with a brushed or polished surface.

NOVITEC also offers a hydraulic height adjustment for the front axle, which makes it much easier to overcome obstacles such as speed bumpers or ramps and prevents damage. At the push of a button in the cockpit, the front section can also be raised by around 40 millimeters and automatically returns to the standard setting when a speed of 80 km/h is reached.
Performance, performance, performance…
By making targeted changes to the engine periphery, NOVITEC achieves additional performance for the six-cylinder biturbo of the 296 GTS. Special Turbo inlets and a flow-optimized High performance exhaust system made of stainless steel or a light INCONEL alloy, which is also used in Formula 1, contribute to this. All variants are provided with a heat-insulating coating and optionally also with a 999 fine gold coating. The various exhaust systems, which are equipped with integrated flaps for variable engine sounds, increase the peak power of the combustion engine by a whopping 38 hp. The system output thus reaches a massive 868 hp.
The NOVITEC exhaust system is rounded off by two tailpipes with a diameter of 102 millimeters, which are integrated into the rear apron and have various designs, including carbon coatings or 999 fine gold coatings. Finally, the tuner can also take care of the cabin extensively if desired. In the cockpit of all Ferraris, NOVITEC ensures maximum individuality and perfect craftsmanship with the finest leather and Alcantara in an almost unlimited variety of colors.
