BMW has with the M2 model year 2024 has taken another step forward to make the compact sports car more attractive. With a small but fine model update, the M2 (G87) will be delivered with new features and more power from August 2024. The expanded colors and engine power are particularly notable. From August 2024, the M2's previously quite manageable color palette will grow to a total of eight regular and six individual paint finishes. Customers can now choose from a total of 14 varnishes including eye-catchers such as Sao Paulo yellow, Fire red, Portimao blue and Skyscraper GreyThe new options expand the existing range to include Zandvoort Blue, Brooklyn Grey, Sapphire Black and Alpine White. And the previous Toronto Red is replaced by the new Fire Red.

And there is also news for lovers of individual paintwork. The M2 will be available in exclusive colors such as Voodoo Blue, Twilight Purple, Grigio Telesto and Java Green And in addition to the new color options, it also gets a performance upgrade. The biturbo inline six-cylinder S58 brings it up now 480 PSThe M2 with eight-speed automatic also benefits from an increased maximum torque of 600 Newton meters, while the handset remains on 550 Newton meter remains limited. The sprint time from 0 to 100 km/h drops to 4,0 seconds for the automatic version and 4,2 for the manual transmission with six-speed gearbox. At higher speeds, the increase in performance is even more noticeable: from 0 to 200 km/h, the 12,9 (Automatic) or 13,7 seconds (Hand switch).

The maximum speed remains as before at 250 limited, but can be extended with the M Driver's Package to 285 km/h Other visual changes include black tailpipes and a black M2 badge on the rear with silver edging. The 19 and 20 inch alloys are now also available in a double spoke design in silver, optionally even with track tires. And the interior also features new features. The new steering wheel generation with a flattened rim is optionally available in Alcantara and the M carbon bucket seats can be ordered individually in the future. And that Infotainment iDrive 8.5 gets Augmented View additional displays for navigation. Last but not least, the 2024 model update will also lead to a price adjustment. The basic price will rise to 76.600 EUR for the automatic version and the six-speed manual transmission costs 77.100 EUR.
