The future of driving is here – and it’s impressive! With the BMW Panoramic iDrive X, the Bavarian car manufacturer is presenting an infotainment system at CES 2025 that promises not only the latest technology but also a completely new driving experience.
With this innovation, BMW is taking the interaction between driver, vehicle and environment to a new level.
A stage of possibilities
The highlight of the new system is the Panoramic Vision Displaythat extends across the entire width of the windshield – from A-pillar to A-pillar. This huge display is not just for the driver, but visible to all passengers. Whether speed, navigation, range, incoming calls or even the weather - the content is freely configurable and adapts to individual needs.
In addition, there is a large infotainment display in the middle of the dashboard, which is used for detailed map views, for example. An optional 3D head-up display is available for the driver, which offers even more precision and depth.
More than just technology
BMW would not be BMW if it only stuck to technical facts. The new steering wheel design relies on the so-called Shy-Tech approach: The buttons remain invisible until they are needed and offer a natural operating feel thanks to haptic feedback. With a little practice, you can use the functions without looking - a detail that makes your everyday life more comfortable and safer.
Suitable for everyday use and sustainable
The new BMW iX3 is the first series model to be equipped with the Panoramic iDrive X. Particularly impressive: at 80% battery charge, the system shows a Range of 450 kilometers, which corresponds to 540 kilometers with a full battery. BMW remains true to its line here: no exaggerated maximum values, but a middle ground suitable for everyday use, which also takes resource consumption into account.
HypersonX: A sound for the senses
Not only visually, but also acoustically BMW new standards. The new "HypersonX" sound package includes 43 sounds that create an unparalleled driving experience in Personal and Sport modes. It's not just about hearing your vehicle - you'll feel it.
Conclusion: Technology meets emotion
BMW describes the new iDrive X with the words "High-tech meets highly intuitive operation". It combines the best innovations from 25 years of experience and takes the driving experience to a new level. From user-friendliness to personalization and sustainability, this system is a real statement. For even more information, details and exciting insights, be sure to watch our video!
