Currently, according to “Electric Car News“ in Germany a important recall of tires that potentially increased risk of accidents Affected are around 4.300 tires from the manufacturer ApolloTyres Ltd., which were produced in the ninth calendar week of 2024 – i.e. between March 3 and 9.
The reason for the recall is a contaminated tire compoundused during production at the Hungarian plant in Gyöngyöshalász.

The problematic tires were delivered worldwide, including 3.540 units in Europe and smaller quantities to Turkey, the USA and the United Arab Emirates. In Germany there are currently no safety-related incidents, but ApolloTyres takes the matter seriously and recalls all affected models. Particularly dangerous: After some time, the Steel belt in the tire, which can lead to accidents.
Although no accidents have been reported so far, ApolloTyres advises that all affected tires be checked as soon as possible. A total of around 55.000 tires produced during this period will be checked. Anyone who drives such a tire can have it replaced free of charge at the dealer.
