Now comes a message from the drawer “Went particularly stupid". In Neckarsulm, a 30-year-old driver of a VW Golf GTI was pulled out of traffic on Wednesday afternoon. The reason was that the GTI was clearly modified and the officials wanted to convince themselves of the legality of the modifications. It didn't take long to find out: It was not the first time. The officers of the traffic police of the Heilbronn police headquarters noticed during the tuning control that some things did not fit on the VW Golf GTI. The result was a demonstration by an expert who found an unbelievable 17 "significant" defects.
The result was a classification as "traffic unsafe" and thus immediate shutdown (TÜV sticker removed). The unbelievable: The officials found that 30's GTI had been taken out of service about six weeks ago because of these violations. Again, the vehicle was presented to an expert and the owner later had to demonstrate the GTI in traffic-safe condition again. After this happened, apparently a short time later, the changes were replaced again by the illegal modifications. A three-digit fine and some points in Flensburg should now be safe for the driver.
