Homage to Lightness & Elegance
Built between 1965 and 1969 as a cheap alternative to the 912, the XNUMX experienced a renaissance through Kamm's reinterpretation. The latest creation, the 912c Targa, impresses with an extremely low weight of less than 800 kg – a performance that is achieved through the use of a lot of Carbon is reached.
All body parts, including the roll bar, are made of carbon, and smaller details such as exterior mirrors, seat back shells and windows made of lightweight Lexan polycarbonate also contribute to this. The factory-installed 1,6-litre engine has been bored out to 2,0 litres and now delivers 185 PS and 205 Nm. Power is transmitted via a five-speed dogleg gearbox, where you can choose between short, long or a long-distance optimized gear ratio.
And a TracTive chassis with semi-active dampers ensures contemporary contact with the road, while Brembo sports brakes and a hydraulic handbrake ensure safety and control.
Design that inspires
The design of the 912c Targa is inspired by the past, complemented by modern accents. Painted in bright tangerine, the Classics the custom-made aluminum rims in a classic look. There were also additional headlights and a carbon fiber roof rack. A handmade surfboard on the roof rounds off the look.
