The Second generation BMW 3 Series, known internally as the E30, has long since conquered a place in BMW's history. Even after more than 30 years, it continues to be an indispensable part of the Tuning sceneA wonderful example of this is a modified E30, which was exhibited in 2018 on the outdoor area of the Las Vegas Convention Center and now also in the Sunshine State causing a sensation.
BMW E30 “Grape”
The unique specimen, a coupe built in 1987, has a New paint in BMW Daytona Violet, carried out by 916 Fresh Cars, nicknamed “Grape“ But that is only the beginning of the many mods that CAtuned were made. The state coach of the E30 received an upgrade with a rare M Technic 1 body kit, which is complemented by retro details. Small Carbon DTM mirror, custom-made door handles with “BMW Motorsport” lettering, the cool E30 Taifun front mask, black taillights and a Kamei spoiler lip on the tailgate also set further accents.

And to complete the look, chic Custom 16-inch aluminum from Rotiform with silver Y-spokes and polished step beds. The Toyo slippers in the dimensions 205/40ZR16 and 215/40ZR16 fit perfectly into the wheel arches, thanks to a air suspension by CAtuned with Air Lift performance control. Further improvements to the chassis include adjustable MRT tie rod ends, new wishbones and ST suspension stabilizers.
And under the hood is a real highlight: an S52 six-cylinder from the US version of the E36 M3, which gives the restomod the name 332 Originally equipped with a compressor that generated over 450 hp, the supercharger was recently removed. Nevertheless, it remains a CSF cooler and Vibrant custom sports exhaust system, far above the standard 243 hp.
And the tuning continues in the interior. The high-quality Recaro sports seats and the back seat are equipped with the rare M Technic fabric in black and purple tones and the dashboard and the center console are finished in black leather, while the headliner is made of black Alcantara. A M wooden steering wheel/gear knob/handbrake lever, purple belts and a cool Blaupunkt cassette radio that controls an Infinity sound system complete the look.
