VW is reviving a little nostalgia and delighting its fans with a new edition of the legendary “Fire & Ice” model. In the 90s, the Golf 2 Fire & Ice with its distinctive design and striking paintwork.
And now we go into the electric modernity, because VW brings the ID.3 GTX Fire+Ice as a unique piece onto the market – and the name couldn’t be more fitting.

The special model was presented at the ID. meeting in Locarno, Switzerland and is strongly reminiscent of the cult classic. But not only the name is a homage to the iconic predecessor, also in terms of the Design Volkswagen relies on proven cooperations. As in the 90s, the current model was developed in cooperation with the Fashion label BognerThe partnership gave the original that certain something and now does the same for the new ID.3.

The nearside on the other hand, shines in ice-blue, symbolizing "ice". The contrasting design makes the cabin a real experience for everyone who sits in it.

But the new Fire+Ice has a lot to offer, not just visually. Under the hood is the most powerful electric motor in the ID.3 GTX Performance-Series. With 240 kW (326 hp) and a maximum torque of 545 Nm he accelerates in just 5,7 seconds at 100 km / hVW is thus able to strike a balance between homage and high-tech – and all in a fully electric version.
Memories Many fans are reminded of the legendary Golf 2. Back then, the Golf 2 Fire & Ice more than just a car – it became a cult Object. With the Dark Violet Pearl Effect and the movie “Fire, Ice and Dynamite”, which was released in parallel, he wrote History.
