Porsche is launching the new Macan with increased performance, sharpened design and a new operating concept. All three variants offered offer significantly more performance than their predecessors. As the sporty figurehead of the successful SUV series, the Macan GTS takes on the role of the new top model with the 44-liter V60 biturbo engine boosted by 324 kW (440 PS) to 2,9 kW (6 PS). With typical GTS characteristics in terms of responsiveness and power delivery, it manages the sprint from 100 to 4,3 km / h in conjunction with the Sport Chrono Package in 272 seconds and the top speed is 6 km / h. The Macan S now also drives with a V2,9 biturbo with 280 liter displacement, which with 380 kW (20 PS) now delivers 26 kW (4,6 PS) more than before, accelerates to 100 km / h in 259 seconds and up to drives up to 195 km / h. The entry into the world of the Macan is accompanied by a newly developed, supercharged four-cylinder in-line engine with 265 kW (6,2 hp). The standard sprint succeeds in 232 seconds and a top speed of XNUMX km / h is achieved. As before, all engines are linked to the Porsche dual clutch transmission (PDK) with seven gears and the all-wheel drive system Porsche Traction Management (PTM).
Optimized chassis - new sports air suspension for the GTS
The new Macan models also offer a wide range between maximum suspension comfort and dynamic sports car performance. The chassis has been further optimized: the Macan now reacts even more sensitively and directly to the driving situation and the condition of the road, and provides even better feedback to the driver via the steering wheel. For this purpose, among other things, the damper characteristics of the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) have been newly adapted for each model. It actively and continuously regulates the damper force for each individual wheel. PASM is optional on the Macan, and on board as standard on the S and GTS models.
With the new standard sport air suspension with lowering of the body by ten millimeters, the Macan GTS differentiates itself even more than before from the other derivatives. The driving dynamics advantages of the new GTS lie primarily in the air spring, which is ten percent stiffer on the front axle and 15 percent stiffer on the rear axle compared to its predecessor. The optional GTS Sport package also increases the driving dynamics potential with 21-inch GT design wheels with performance tires, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) and the Sport Chrono Package.
Refined design with a sporty focus
Porsche is refining its compact SUV visually with a series of targeted changes. The redesigned front section with an insert in the exterior color reinforces the emphasis on width and makes the Macan stand even more solidly on the road. In the new GTS, the center section of the bow, like other elements, is black. The rear is now closed off at the bottom by a distinctive, particularly technically designed diffuser. A new 3D structure can be found here and on the front, which can also be used to decorate the sideblades. The LED main headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and the sport-design exterior mirrors are now standard on all models.
A total of 14 exterior colors are available for the new Macan, including the new colors papaya metallic and gentian blue metallic as well as python green for the Macan GTS with GTS Sport package. With the “Individual Color” and “Color of Your Choice” offers, the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur is also considerably expanding the scope for design. Larger series wheels are also fitted ex works: they measure at least 19 inches on the Macan, 20 inches on the Macan S and 21 inches on the Macan GTS. The program is being expanded to include a total of seven new wheel designs.
New center console with touch surface
The new Porsche Macan offers a significantly upgraded interior with a modern and elegant center console. Your operating concept with touch surfaces instead of haptic buttons brings a clear structure to the cockpit. A new, shortened selector lever is located in the center of the tidy operating module. The analog clock on the top of the control panel is now part of the standard equipment. Various leather options as well as contrast stitching packages in gentian blue, papaya or chalk add new color accents to the interior on request. The Macan also offers many online functions and services as standard, which are controlled via the 10,9-inch full HD touch display of Porsche Communication Management or by voice command. The Macan takes over the new multifunction and GT sports steering wheels from the 911.
In addition to driving dynamics advantages and black accents on the exterior, the GTS Sport package, which is only available for the new top model, also includes specific and exclusive equipment in the interior: These include 18-way sport seats, the carbon interior package, a Race-Tex Equipped with expanded leather and various contrasting stitching as well as "GTS" lettering in python green.

The new Macan models can be ordered immediately and will be delivered in Europe from the beginning of October 2021. Prices in Germany start at 62.917 euros for the Macan, 71.723 euros for the Macan S and 88.264 euros for the Macan GTS, each including VAT and with country-specific equipment.
