The BMW M8 Competition (F92) is currently the most powerful and fastest BMW that has ever existed. And that means something, because vehicles like the M6 V10, the F10 M5 & Co. have certainly not been slow in the past few decades. But the new M cars are now equipped with xDrive all-wheel drive and bring the performance to the road significantly better. Especially right from the start! The M8-Performance is a prime example in this regard. BMW has never claimed that the M8 comes close to the status of a super sports car, but the key data are not really far away.

The Mercedes-AMG GT63 S 4-door (X 290) is at eye level. The two four-door coupé models (BMW M8 as Gran Coupé F93) currently play in a league of their own. Both reach the 3 km / h mark in about 100 seconds and can transport four adults. The following video shows an M8 Coupe and a GT63 S competing against each other, with the BMW having a small advantage. It is a bit lighter than the technically identical F93, which would have fitted better in this test. Can the 639 hp and 900 Nm torque of the AMG stand up to the 625 hp and 750 Nm torque in the M8? Check it out!
