The manufacturer Husqvarna is a company from Austria. Husqvarna Motorcycles GmbH operates as a manufacturer of motorcycles and is based in Mattighofen, Austria. Husqvarna as a brand was originally a production branch of the Swedish Husqvarna group. But after changing owners from 1987 onwards, Husqvarna has been owned by the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM Sportmotorcycle GmbH, the KTM AG. Husqvarna Motorcycles is the second oldest continuously producing motorcycle brand in the world, just after Royal Enfield and even before Harley-Davidson. Bought in 2007 BMW Husqvarna from MV Agusta. But in January 2013 BMW announced the sale of the trademark rights to the Austrian KTM AG. After the purchase and founding as Husqvarna Motorcycles GmbH, KTM merged the Husaberg and Husqvarna brands again.
