Chip Foose's 1965 Chevrolet Impala meets Corvette C6

Don and Elma from Abbotsford, Canada love their old 1965 Impala. Selling the car was never an option, but rebuilding it with a good deal of tuning was. They took the car to Chip Foose's tuning company (C. Foose Design, Inc.), and he showed what he was able to do "apart" from his scandals. 50% of the car is a 2008 Corvette C6. We tell you what we know about tuning the Impala.

It was all done on the 1965 Chevrolet Impala:

  • Victory in the 2015 Ridler Award
  • Annual Autorama in Detroi after all, place 4
  • Impala chassis
  • Dispenser: 2008 C6 Corvett
  • chopped roof
  • polished chrome tailpipes
  • Impala body 14 inches lower overall (eight centimeters on the roof and six centimeters on the rear side panels and the trunk)
  • Corvette frame has been stretched 8 inches
  • LS3 V8 with Magnuson compressor
  • Gearbox housing and rear axle are perfectly adapted to the style of the car

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
