At the recent New York Auto Show, the Japanese manufacturer presented Nissan his refreshed GT-R - MY 2017. Nissan promises that the 2017 model should be significantly more suitable, especially in terms of comfort and long-distance suitability. The most important, the spectacular 3,8-liter V6-VR38DETT engine is of course retained in the GT-R and now delivers 570 PS & 633 NM torque. Even in the facelift model, the 6-speed dual clutch gearbox is used and Nissan remains priced just under the € 99.900 mark at € 100.000. There were also a few visual changes and so the facelift got a modified rear apron, which still contains the typical round LED taillights, and the front bumper was also redesigned in 2017 drooping corner of the mouth Have disappeared. Small sideblades on the front spoiler and new side skirts complete the new look and make the GT-R look fresher.
The Japanese tuner Rowen International is of the opinion, however, that the GT-R is still far from a really sporty look and therefore developed a new body kit for the facelift model. Of course, a few spoilers were not enough, but the complete program including beefy fender flares all around. But we would like to start with the front, which has a huge bumper, including a front spoiler and powerful air intakes, which has been significantly widened on the sides and seamlessly merges into the fatter fenders. The bonnet with its large air opening is also part of the body kit and ensures that the V6 BiTurbo gets rid of its combustion temperature even more easily. In addition, there was a new set of side skirts which are provided with small flaps at the front and rear end and which merge into widenings for the rear side walls. The rear apron attachment including the integrated diffuser and of course the fixed large rear spoiler on the trunk lid, which replaces the standard spoiler, is also extremely striking. The GT-R rear end is already extremely bulky from the factory, but including the Rowen body kit, the Japanese looks even more beefy and powerful.
In addition to the new body kit, the vehicle received a set of matt gold 10-spoke alloy wheels in 20 inches and, of course, a significant lowering for an even sportier driving experience. And an in-house sports exhaust system with four large tailpipes was installed and now provides a completely new soundscape. The golden accents on the right and left of the vehicle and on the new aerodynamic parts that make the GT-R even more eye-catching are also unmistakable. The golden accents don't necessarily meet my personal taste, but completely in black I would find the 2017 Rowen GT-R absolutely phenomenal and impressive.
