If you have just saved your first € 1.500.000 and are thinking about ordering a Bugatti, you should see if a Golf4 might not be the better choice! However, the Golf also costs over 1 million euros ...!

Asgard Performance aims to break pretty much every record, given the data from the Golf, the goal is quite realistic. Incidentally, the source of the "evil" is a Lamborghini engine, namely the 5,2-liter V10 from the Gallardo with standard 500PS. The brutal plus in performance comes from the installation of two huge turbochargers. Without going into too much detail about the other changes, we would like to present the result: 1500PS and a crazy 1760NM torque! The most interesting thing about the whole tuning (at least for us) is the possibility to get the Golf approved for road traffic (TÜV). In addition, an FIA license for the racetrack should also be applied for. The performance data in comparison with the Bugatti are phenomenal:

  • 0-100km / h in well below 3 seconds (Bugatti 2,5 seconds).
  • Speedometer 440 km / h (Bugatti on the road 431km / h)

However, the aerodynamics of the Golf does not permit the 440km / h on the road. Power is transmitted via 325 wide tires and special OZ magnesium rims in the Superleggera design as well as an ZF six-speed automatic transmission to all 4 wheels. Incidentally, the weight of the Golf is almost ridiculous with 900kg, 700kg by the way on the rear axle.

While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
