Prejudices against tattooed people have been around for decades! You are “not adaptable”, a “criminal” or “anti-social”. But does that also apply to a tattooed car? Do superficial changes also cause a “failed character” here? Definitely not! Just as little as with a person. And Lexus did in cooperation with the British tattoo artist Claudia De Sabe create the ultimate example based on a UX SUV. A vehicle that impressively shows that tattoos are "art". At the same time, this vehicle is the first in the world tattooed has been. The classic tattoo needle was replaced due to the metallic surface.
countless hours of manual work
De Sabe used a Dremel instead and used it to draw a successful koi carp as a symbol of luck and endurance in Japanese culture on the UX. With a total of 5 liters of paint, countless hours of manual work, gold leaf and a successful 3D effect, the SUV was transformed into an absolute one-off. Of course, the entire body was covered with an additional protective varnish after the work was completed. Best watch the impressive video that shows how it was created.
