After a podium finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Alpine is continuing its motorsport commitment on the endurance circuit and entering the LMDh hypercar class in 2024. The team will rely on Signatech's know-how and the synergies with the Alpine F1 Team to continue its success story in the top class of endurance racing. Alpine will compete in the top class LMDh with its own team and two cars from 2024. Since returning to endurance racing in 2013 in collaboration with Signatech, Alpine has won one victory after another: first in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) with the driver and team title in 2013 and 2014, then with two titles in of the FIA Endurance Championship in 2016 and 2019, three victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMP2 category (2016, 2018 and 2019) and the podium in the hypercar category this year.

With the increased commitment from 2024, Alpine will use two vehicles in the hypercar class based on an Oreca chassis and an Alpine engine developed in Viry-Châtillon. The unit benefits from the know-how acquired in Formula 1. Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi: “Alpine's endurance program underscores the brand's commitment and ambitions in motorsport. By competing in both Formula 1 and endurance racing, Alpine will be one of the few brands to compete in both top classes of motorsport. We will combine the best of Formula 1 and endurance racing and use technological synergies to give us an edge over the renowned competitors. "
Experience from the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Entry into the highest endurance category underlines the brand's sporty DNA. Between 1963 and 1978 Alpine took part in the Le Mans 24 Hours eleven times. Despite being an outsider, the brand achieved numerous successes. The crowning glory was the overall victory in 1978 with the Alpine A442B of Jean-Pierre Jaussaud and Didier Pironi. Until the debut in the Hypercar class in 2024, Alpine will continue to compete in the FIA WEC World Championship in order to prepare itself optimally.
