Video: Project "the fastest BMW M2 at the Nürburgring"

On the channel of Misha Charoudin A video was published in 2020 that we would like to show you later. Because the BMW connoisseur claims that in this video maybe the fastest M2 can be seen on the ring. And that could be true. ÄExternally, however, the M2 doesn't really look extreme. True, he has a big one rear wing and some additional aero components, but many other tuned M2 have that too. However, under the sheet metal the M2 is much more extreme. Because there is very little left of the standard M2. Many Body parts are made of carbonincluding the “full” doors, the central transmission tunnel and even the trunk floor. With a roll cage and a 75% full tank, the vehicle weighs only 1.394 kg. According to the owner, the weight savings were huge 300 kg saved up.

The fastest BMW M2 at the Nürburgring?

Performance goodies join in as well KW Competition coilover kit, a new Control arm kit, a AP Racing brake system, BBS Apex alloy wheels with Dunlop Direzza tires, Drexler rear axle differential and a complete Akrapovic sports exhaust system. In combination with a roof, a bonnet and aerodynamics made entirely of carbon, everything is prepared for a fast lap. The driver sits in one, by the way Racing seat and controls the M2 with one M4 GT4 sports steering wheel. The most important thing is of course under the hood. Because the well-known six-cylinder bi-turbo in-line engine (S55B30) of the F87 series is installed there. He (still) tinkers with OEM turbochargers, but the sports exhaust provides one Performance increase to around 540 hp. Later, however, the M2 should Hybrid turbos and generate a good 650 hp. And then the BMW M2 could really be the fastest M2 on the Nordschleife.
