Video: Drag Race Mercedes-AMG G 63 / Porsche 718 Cayman GT4!

Two vehicles couldn't be more opposing. In the following Drag Race from Youtuber Shmee150 (Tim Burton) has to be one Mercedes-AMG G 63 (W463A) against a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 compete. In other words, an XXL SUV with an unladen weight of over 2,5 tons challenges a thoroughbred athlete. The Cayman GT4 (Type 982) has rear-wheel drive, 420 PS & 420 NM Torque from a 4,0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine that is installed as a mid-engine, it has a manual transmission, a lot of spoilers and only approx. 1.500 kg empty weight. And the AMG? It has a huge 4,0-liter twin-turbo AMG V8, a nine-speed automatic transmission, the well-known 4matic all-wheel drive and a torque of 1.070 Nm.

I beg your pardon? Over 1.000 NM in a G63? Exactly! Because the vehicle is tuned. And exactly 737 PS and those mentioned 1.070 Nm torque. However, the off-roader also struggles with an empty weight of approx. 2.560 kg, Our Power-to-weight calculator spits for the Porsche 3,57 kg per hp from and for the Mercedes even only 3,47 kg. Crazy! The rolling wall unit actually has a better power-to-weight ratio than the athlete. And since it's only going straight ahead here, the race should be quite exciting. Have fun!
