What Jon Olsson with his recently introduced camouflage Lamborghini Huracan can the guys at CFD GmbH (Carbon Fiber Dynamics) but already! The speech is not to tune a car but to miss him that certain something. The speech is from a currently totally hip roof box which visually quite clearly the highlight of, M4R BMW M4 F82 Coupe from CFD. Sure, a Lambo is certainly a little rarer but also on the M4, I have, frankly, never seen a roof box 😀 The part comes from the manufacturer 56 ° NORD and is made of high-quality carbon and you can hardly believe it, you can drive well and happily over 300 km / h. But even if the 431PS & 550NM of the M4 are anything but weak, the carbon structure could make it difficult to push the coupe towards the 300 barrier because the box naturally develops a clear point of attack for the airflow. Only a huge increase in performance will help! This is exactly what CFD did and does not push the M4 up to the usual 500PS, but tickles incredible 700PS & 860Nm torque from the S55 bi-turbo six-cylinder. To achieve that much power, of course, you need more than simple chip tuning. A Burger Motorsport JB4 control unit, a Burger Motorsport methanol injection, Burger Motorsport aluminum charge pipes, a high-quality Eventuri carbon / Kevlar intake system were installed TheTurboEngineers TTE 6XX Turbocharger, a downpipe from Akrapovic and a Dodson Motorsport clutch to put it into action.
Roof box & over 300km / h
In order for the M4 to come to a standstill, the braking system also had to be significantly modified. Thanks to a Mov'it brake system with 6-piston and 392 mm discs at the front, as well as 4-piston and 380 mm discs at the rear, the Bayer stands much sooner than with the standard brake. The significant lowering is achieved by CFD by means of Bilstein B16 EDC chassis, which makes the new 6sixty forged wheels in 19 inches stand much fuller in the wheel arch. The choice of tires was based on sticky Toyo Proxes R888R semislicks in 265 format in front and 305 in rear. In terms of optics, of course, it's not just the roof box that is new. In addition to the roof box, the M4 got a 3D design carbon front apron, Varis carbon side skirts and a System 1 rear diffuser, a Boca Design carbon high-kick spoiler, and a striking 3D design carbon rear wing
and an extremely beefy MTC carbon bonnet in GTS design. The project is rounded off with an unmistakable foiling in GT4 style that was attached by the Revowrap team. CFD released the M4 the days and we are of course pleased to be able to show you the first pictures.
