XXL-C2! Chevrolet Corvette C6 conversion to the 60s C2!

Is this a Chevrolet Corvette C2 from the 60s? Actually yes! But the dimensions seem somehow larger than the 4450 mm length or the 1770 mm width of the C2. Only the approx. 1,25 meter height of the C2 seems to fit! The solution to the riddle: here is a Chevrolet Corvette C6 with a complex conversion to the 60s C2! Who always wanted to have a C2, but not that eventual If an old car is in trouble, you should take a closer look at the unique 2011 Corvette C6 as a convertible conversion. The vehicle (VIN: 1G1YG3DW9B5105911) is currently available for a little less than $ 150.000 (£ 121.757 / EUR 137.840) and it is deceptively real inspired by the legendary C2 design. The vehicle was created by CR coachworks which the unique piece as "unique black beauty" describe. And you are right as we think!

folding headlights are included

The C6 received the retro-inspired body made of carbon and even installed the foldable headlights and the legendary side pipe exhaust system. But beware of such complex changes if they look AND work so well! Further details are the typical C2 grille, a bonnet with a large power dome and only the rear view mirrors as well as the windows and the convertible top are still parts of the C6. To do this, the C6 / C2 was placed on classic multi-spoke aluminum rims which, with a red rim ring, set a skilful accent in the side view. The rear view is dominated by the typical C2 rear area including small round taillights and a two-piece chrome apron. Add the fuel cap in the middle and you're done with the deceptively real transformation to the XXL-C2. In contrast, the view into the cabin is somewhat disappointing. It is almost untouched.

unfortunately there are no changes inside

While there are plenty of luxuries like the heated leather seats, two-zone air conditioning, an infotainment system with GPS navigation, a start button all the way to the head-up display and a Bose audio system, the flair of the time is completely missing. On the other hand, the airbags or the factory side impact protection have also been preserved. And the engine makes up for the boring cabin. The C2 conversion carries a 427 emblem on the hood, but underneath it sits the well-known 6,2-liter LS3-V8 of the C6 with 430 hp (321 kW / 436 hp) and a torque of 575 Nm (424 lb-ft ). It is still linked to the factory six-speed automatic and drives the rear wheels. If we receive timely information on further changes, there is of course an update for this report.
