If a manufacturer misses a facelift to a vehicle then often the tuners have no choice but to adapt the accessories to the partly changed forms. BMW currently showcased the revved i13 at the Detroit Auto Show (28 until 8 January) and at the same time the Japanese tuner is using it 3D design can Tokyo Auto Show to market its facelift adapted aerodynamic parts. But was that really necessary? After all, the changes to the pre-facelift are just a coupe lettering on the C-pillar, slightly lighter 20-inch rims and a marginally changed air intake in the hood.

Although the i8 also comes with two new colors in the form of E-Copper Metallic and Donington Gray Metallic, this of course has no influence on the components. 3D Design has just changed the body kit discreetly and shows as the first tuner a modified LCI i8. The body kit includes a front splitter including side flaps, approaches for the side skirts also bring in the rear area small flaps, a fixed and fairly large rear spoiler and a sporty rear diffuser of a central sports exhaust system in the style of Lamborghini Aventador houses.

The rear diffuser looks quite successful and sporty, but the central sports exhaust system with the huge tailpipe is questionable in view of the fact that only a three-cylinder hangs at the other end. Also new is the 21-inch 3D Design Type 4 forged wheel set in a chic rose tone which sits perfectly in the wheel arch thanks to a lowering. It is very likely that the brilliant tailpipe in the rear diffuser belongs to a complete stainless steel sports exhaust system, but unfortunately we do not have any further information at the moment.

Also, we do not know if the Japanese tuner may have a performance increase in stock because one or the other PS should, at least from the 143 PS strong petrol engine, still tickle out. Apart from what we could see in the pictures, unfortunately, we are unfortunately not aware of any specific details about the body kit, etc., so that we leave you alone with the pictures and the video at this point. 🙂 If we get details about the changes, there is of course an update for this story. About the update you will be informed if yours Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!
