Fisker Tramonto - an American Mercedes SL65 AMG!

Have you ever heard of the Fisker Tramonto? No? No wonder! After all, a vehicle cost around € 270.000 and a total of only 15 pieces were built worldwide. Almost all of them are now in the same hands and spend their lives in some heated garages. Too bad! Finally, the Tramonto wants to be driven. The Fisker Tramonto has a maximum of 700 hp and builds on the Roadster Mercedes SL600, the SL55 or the SL65 AMG with a 5,4 liter V8 compressor engine or V12 of the R 230 series. The Tranmoto model was Henrik Fisker's first official vehicle and it was presented to the world public in 645 with the Fisker Latigo CS (based on the BMW 2005i). Later there was even a special series from Tramonto that Fisker Coachbuild presented at the 2007 New York International Auto Show.

4,0 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h

At that time they cooperated with the Danish Mercedes tuner Kleemann which enabled a performance increase to 700 PS (SL65) with the "Performance Plus Package". Enough to accelerate from 4,0 to 0 km / h in under 100 seconds and catapult the hand-made body made of fiberglass and aluminum in Italy with over 300 towards the horizon. Like the R230 SL, the Tramonto has a metal folding roof and is reminiscent of a mixture of Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz. Fisker took over the complete technology including all security features from the SL and was thus able to fully concentrate on the new look. The result is only reminiscent of the roof and side lines and maybe the exterior mirrors of the SL. The rest are independent. At the rear, for example, there are the slotted taillights with the look of the BMW Z8, which Fisker had created during his BMW days. At the front there are elements from the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and Fisker has deliberately avoided the aggressiveness typical of sports cars.

harmonious design without contradictions

No edges or unnecessary kinks disturb the course of the body and the mighty 20-inch wheels, which ensure that the wheel arches are filled appropriately, are also suitable. And Fisker took care of the interior too. There is tons of the finest Italian leather here and even special instruments have been designed. In addition, all Mercedes logos have been removed, which does not mean that the many buttons, the pedals or the steering wheel do not let the SL shine through. Connoisseurs will immediately make the basis for this. If we receive information on further details in a timely manner, there is of course an update for this report.
