362PS & 535NM in the Ford Focus RS from DTE-Systems GmbH

For a good year now, Ford has finally managed to stand up to the VW Golf R MK2.3 with the new 7 EcoBoost RS and the 350 PS & 440 NM torque from Cologne has since enjoyed great popularity. The highlight is of course the 2,3 l four-cylinder, which is even able to provide 470 NM torque for a short time by means of the overboost function. But, as is well known, charged engines also have the great advantage that they can be pushed again significantly using a chip tuning tuning box. That is exactly what DTE-Systems GmbH did and yesterday presented a Focus RS on its website that was chipped to an output of 362 PS & 535 NM torque using DTE PowerControl. DTE states that they have achieved an increase in performance of 27 PS & 92 NM torque. Conversely, that would mean that the measured performance of the Focus was 330 PS & 443 NM, which is quite realistic.

As a small encore you still built the well known pedal box which we already have in ours Opel Corsa D were allowed to test. The advantage of this box is that you can adjust the response of the gas pedal individually and thus get an even sportier driving experience. Even without an increase in performance, we had the impression that we had achieved more performance with the box in our vehicle, which is of course only a subjective feeling. Nevertheless, we can recommend the system to anyone looking for a way to optimize the responsiveness of their vehicle. If we get more information about other modifications to the RS, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
