Since the beginning of 2021, the Huracán EVO model range from Automobili Lamborghini has had an improved connectivity service offering that covers the areas of navigation, comfort, safety and entertainment. Thanks to the networking with the Unica app, the existing real-time traffic information from Lamborghini Connected is supplemented by new, worry-relieving services: vehicle search, vehicle status report and some geofencing functions such as remote speed warning and parking service alarm. In addition, "over-the-air" updates of the Lamborghini Infotainment System (LIS) are now available.
Lamborghini Huracan EVO
Lamborghini is the first automobile manufacturer to integrate extensive vehicle control with Amazon Alexa. In the Huracán EVO, the driver can control functions such as air conditioning and lighting as well as navigation, calls and entertainment simply by voice. The driver's attention is therefore always focused on the road. From model year 2021 onwards, Amazon Alexa and Android Auto will be added to the well-known Web Radio and Apple CarPlay functions of the Huracán EVO.
Alexa is also integrated into the LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) system of the Huracán EVO with all-wheel drive. With a simple voice command, the driving dynamics feedback can be called up in real time on the LIS display, such as torque distribution (torque vectoring), dynamic steering LDS (Lamborghini Dynamic Steering) and traction control.
to control compatible devices
With Alexa, the driver can also control compatible devices in his smart home such as entrance gates, thermostats or lighting systems directly from his Lamborghini. Thanks to regular over-the-air software updates, Lamborghini Connected makes it easy to update all Alexa functions. Functionality is offered in most of the countries in Europe and North America where Alexa is also available. Other countries will follow in 2022.
Owners of a current Huracán EVO can also use the new connectivity services: from mid-April, all Lamborghini Connected functions, as well as optional upgrades, can be retrofitted free of charge at Lamborghini authorized dealers. The availability of the connectivity services depends on the individual markets.
The strategic cooperation between Automobili Lamborghini and Amazon enables regular updates of the Alexa functions used in Lamborghini's super sports cars. In addition, both companies are working on the development of further innovations and integrations in the area of connectivity.
