Deep Jeep CJ-2A - off-road legend with SR20DET engine!

The Jeep CJ-2A As a freely available version of the famous military jeep from World War II, it was an extremely popular climber of its time. The first model, the CJ, was introduced by Willys-Overland in 1944 and the basic design has been retained in all seven generations through three of the company's parents until 1986. And all generations could too Windshield fold forward with their frame and were of course always particularly suitable for off-road use. But this copy is different! So into the field? No way… The outstanding skills off paved roads have completely disappeared! On the contrary, the "off-roader" should even reach its limits on cobblestones.

This CJ-2A has a powerful one Lowering received and heard Joel Tan from Los Angeles. There were also free-standing ones SSR Longchamp XR4 three-piece suit from Colin Project in the format 8 × 14 and 10 × 14 inches with Federal tires in the dimensions 165/55 R14 in front and Toyo Proxes R888 semi-slicks in the format 225/50 R14 at the rear. A strange mixture, but that fits with the rest. But it is not only deeper. Instead of 2,2 liter engine and the factory Borg Warner T90 transmission is now one Inline four-cylinder engine of Japanese origin installed. And that 2 liter SR20DET turbo engine from the Nissan Silvia S14. There was also a big one cooler, a revised Controller, 610ccm injectors and one that cannot be overlooked Intercooler with white piping. The classic is switched using Five-speed manual from the S14 and completely new is also the Chassis-running gear construction. A tuned suspension was built out of one at the front Ford Mustang including coilover struts and rear components of one 1982 Toyota Corolla with locking differential.

And inside? Relatively little has changed compared to the original Willys. The main highlights are a custom Roll bar from K Bros Fabrication, Takata harness straps and JEGS bucket seats "Without" upholstery, a Tom's racing steering wheel , and a dashboard with the foiled look of the body outside. And the jumps in particular because of the flashy foiling im Military camoflage design especially eye-catching. There are also new ones installed Front lights with yellow cover glasses and tiny red tail lights. A crazy part of this 1946 CJ2Athat is sure to bring tears to the eyes of one or the other hardcore Jeep fan. If we get more information about the changes, there will of course be an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
