Shrill Hybrid: Liberty Walk Widebody BMW i8!

Hard to believe, but the production of the BMW i8 ended in 2020. In our opinion, however, the i8 has a design that is even suitable for a New presentation in 2023 could still work. Because, we think he still looks dewy. However, with just over 20.000 vehicles built, the i8 is a rare guest on our roads. And it will probably stay that way, because there don't seem to be any plans to revive him as a new generation. Still, it's fair to say that wherever the i8 goes, people are still fascinated by it. And that also applies to the many car tuners. There are quite a few i8 owners who have worked hard to stand out from the crowd. That has spawned some particularly eye-catching creations over the years (see end of post).

And "conspicuous" is probably also the correct term for the example of the pictures, which are from the repertoire of Liberty Walk originates. This can of course be seen from the oversized ones Fender attachments, which sport the Japanese tuner's signature bolt-on design. There were also powerful side skirt attachments and other attachments on the front, such as these canards on the sides of the apron and of course the fat front spoiler.

But it gets even more unusual at the rear, where the i8 still wears the OEM apron, but a huge one diffuser got an additional brake light. But the insanely huge one clearly conveys a real touch of motorsport rear wing, which is almost as wide as the full i8. Mighty Forgiato forged wheels with Yokohama Advan tires also turn in the wheel arches, which act with the five double-spoke design and the black paintwork as a contrasting color to the exterior, which is otherwise dominated by pink.

The typical Liberty Walk stickers are of course also present and thanks to the adjustable air suspension (AirRexAirride) the i8 is extremely on the ground. Further details on the outside are a carbon fiber front flap, there were black BMW emblems and the three-cylinder hybrid got one Fi Exhaust sports exhaust system put aside. And inside? Much less was done there. The interior is white and, in our opinion, completely standard. The performance also seems unchanged. The i8 still has 374 hp and a torque of 570 Nm. That's enough for a top speed of 250 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in around four and a half seconds. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!
