On Friday, April 23, 2021, the 383 kW (520 PS) Porsche 911 GT3 RS MR of the 991.2 generation lapped the entire 20,832 kilometer stretch of the Nordschleife under notarial supervision in 6: 54,340 minutes. The measured time for the 20,6 kilometers shortened by the T13 section and primarily communicated in the past was 6: 49,656 minutes. Porsche works driver Kévin Estre was at the wheel of the street-legal sports car.

The vehicle was equipped with an MR Performance Kit. These are developed with a focus on track day and club sport operations and go through extensive tests and numerous laps on various racetracks in order to ensure the best possible performance of Manthey-Racing products for road vehicles.
“It was impressive how fast Kévin was in our vehicle and I was pleased to see in the video analysis how relaxed he can drive the Porsche 911 GT3 RS MR on the Nordschleife. Our performance kits are developed with the aim of drivability, among other things. They should give our customers the confidence to safely achieve fast lap times ”, says Christoph Breuer, Project Manager Road Vehicles Manthey / PSZ.
In preparation for the timed lap, only minimal changes were made to the customer delivery setup of the XNUMX. The only part that was not street legal was the racing seat, which had been installed for the safety of the driver.
“It was a great feeling to drive the shortened lap under 6:50 minutes and the car felt great. The vehicle is incredible, especially in the fast corners. The crazy thing is that we are not far from our GT3 R, the "Grello", in terms of times. I am very proud that I was allowed to drive this lap for Manthey-Racing, ”said Kévin Estre.
The performance kit is based on the modifications of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR, which is among other things the fastest modified sports car on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
