Mercedes CL 700 AMG - unique item from the Sultan of Brunei

A very special Mercedes CL from the C 140 series is currently being sold in Great Britain. And he has one 7,0 liter V12 (M 120) with 496 HP under the hood. And the first owner in the letter is supposedly the one Sultan of Brunei. However, the vehicle is advertised as a Mercedes CL 700 AMG. And supposedly there are only two of them. But that's not really certain, because there is no official information from Mercedes on the number of AMG versions. Why? Because you could never officially order the C 140 that way. However, since Mercedes equipped both the W 140 and the SL R 129 with more power on request, this option was also available for the CL. But the base had to be a 600. Then you could from AMG the V12 to 7,0- or 7,3-liter drill out to let. Such a complete renovation then resulted in at least 7055 cc displacement and 496 PS and 720 Nm torque. Compared to the series with 394 hp and 570 Nm, that was of course an announcement.

73 variant with 525 hp and 750 Nm

But the 73 variant was even more powerful 525 PS and 750 Nm. This made the SL 73 AMG the fastest roadster in the world. To engine capacity on 7,0- / 7,3-liter there was a larger one Bremsanlage and a new one Exhaust System from manifold. But neither the CL 600 7.0 AMG nor the later renamed CL 70 AMG are precise statements about the number of units.

The English Mercedes specialists from "Edward Hall“Say, however, that this example of the C 140 has been known as a CL AMG 700 was approved and a custom-made product for the Sultan of Brunei is. And from the day it was first registered (1998), the right-hand drive CL has only run 102.351 kilometers. And the pictures show that the luxury coupé appears to be in a neat condition. The V12 has even been revised and the brakes and suspension have been partially renewed. Also the completely overhauled set AMG monoblock rims in 19-inch format came to AMG some time ago.

Special paint in "Designo LCP"

Of course, the custom-made product is fully equipped and included in the Special paint "Designo LCP" (Color code 021) wrapped. Inside there is one that is based on the paintwork on the outside, green / black two-tone designo leather interior with green floor mats and of course the usual comfort features such as seats with memory function, xenon, PDC and an electric rear blind. While the name varies between CL 600 7.0 AMG, CL 70 AMG and CL 700 AMG, one thing is clear: the vehicle is one of the rarest AMG models ever. And the Mercedes specialists at "Edward Hall" know that too. That's why you want £ 89.995 for the coupe too. That is almost 105.000 euros. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
