The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is in the starting blocks

The Porsche 911 GT3 is getting a big brother: On August 17 of this year, the 911 GT3 RS (992), the new sporty top model in the series, will celebrate its world premiere. The development of the high-performance sports car was inspired by the successful 911 RSR and 911 GT3 R GT racing cars. “The new 911 GT3 RS is more optimized than ever for use on circuits. The spontaneously responding, high-revving four-litre six-cylinder boxer engine with around 500 hp has proven to be ideal for track days and club sport events,” says Andreas Preuninger, Head of GT Vehicles. "That's why we concentrated primarily on the topics of aerodynamics and chassis when developing the new 911 GT3 RS." Should we receive more information, there will of course be an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
