Trumpchi (by GAC) is still a completely unknown car brand from the People's Republic of China (as of 2020). It belongs to Guangzhou Automobile Group from Guangzhou which had wanted to introduce another car brand since 2008. The first model did not go until 2010 with the GAC Trumpchi based on the Alfa Romeo 166 in series production. And the name of the brand is derived from the Chinese term for legendary from and the timbre translates it into "Trump". So that you could give the brand its important Chinese roots, you still have the syllable who attached. But at that time, no one had thought of US President Donald Trump. Due to Trump's election as the most powerful man in the world, the name should actually be changed until the market launch in the United States in 2019. The manufacturer currently has cars and SUVs on offer. As already mentioned, the first model was based on the platform of the Alfa Romeo 166. The GA 5 REV is even equipped with a hybrid drive. The GA 2019, GA 3, GA 4 and GA 6 car models were launched in 8. In addition, there are the SUVs GS 3, GS 4, GS 5, GS 7 and GS 8. The GE 3 is an electric SUV and the GM 6 and GM 8 is a van.
