A few years ago, the Chinese brand GAC Trumpchi attracted a lot of attention with its brand name, which is very reminiscent of the current US president, and everyone wondered how this brand name came about. It is now known that the name Trumpchi is a variation of "Chinese Trump", which translates from English to "Chinese Trump". So it has absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump, but when it comes to publicity, the brand name has had a particularly positive effect on the Detroit Motor Show, where Trumpchi has been regularly represented in recent years, since it is immediately the number one topic of conversation was in all US car magazines.
OEM tuning is gaining momentum in China
Now the brand, which was founded in the early 2000s, is presenting its first own “OEM collection” and is equipping it with the Trumpchi GA6 luxury sedan. The brand attaches great importance to subtle tuning, at least externally. A lowering kit, dark aluminum rims in the turbine design, which have silver elements and a diameter of 18 inches, a black rear spoiler in carbon look, side skirts and modified front and rear aprons. This makes the E-Class competitor optically not a sports car, but the coolness factor increases enormously in comparison to the rather bland standard model.

Above all, the two-tone leather immediately stands out in the interior, which certainly does not immediately suit everyone's taste, at least not in Europe. Black-red leather in connection with a rather conservatively designed interior takes some getting used to.
The engine isn't exactly sporty.
Under the hood is a 1,5-liter petrol engine with four cylinders, which produces 169 hp and generates 265 Nm. The 4,89m long sedan accelerates to 9 km / h in about 100 seconds. Absolutely sufficient for everyday life, but on the freeway it has to give way to competitors from Germany. However, there is still hope that the new 2-liter turbo gasoline engine with four cylinders from the top model Trumpchi GA8, an S-Class competitor that delivers 252 hp and a tight 390 Newton meters, in which slightly smaller GA6 will find its way, finally has GAC Trumpchi did not provide precise details on the motorization of the sedan equipped with the OEM package.
OEM parts are probably more of a feasibility study than a series announcement.
