Fans of the Toyota brand have of course already dated 1GZ-FE V12 engine owned by Toyota. There was only in the second generation of the Century and since then Toyota has not tried a V12 either. And in the luxury sedan from Japan, which, by the way, was only sold to high-ranking people, the twelve-cylinder was only installed as a pure vacuum cleaner. And that at least in the period from 1997 to 2017. Then the Century was replaced by the third generation, which has a five-liter V8 with an electric drive under the sheet metal. One of the old V12 engines had it years ago Made it to South Africa. And there the team of Fatboy Fab Works managed to cram it under the hood of a 2012 Hilux pickup. It is actually powered by a 3,0 liter diesel engine, but now the 1GZ FE V12 engine provides propulsion. And he even became two Garrett GT35 turbochargers improved.

The Conversion to BiTurbo provides a jump in performance from 280 hp to "measured" 547 PS and the torque went up from the stock 460 970 Newton meter up. And even the transmission has been transplanted. Because the Hilux now has the Century's four-speed gearbox under the sheet metal. And apparently the automatic can even handle the more than twice as high torque. Just a special one propeller shaft Is installed. In its current condition, however, the Hilux is still equipped with the original brakes. Of course, they are clearly undersized and that's why a new one should be available soon Bremsanlage can be retrofitted to cope with the additional power of the BiTurbo-V12. Other changes are a new one wheelset, a modified one front apronVarious Stickers and foils and the highlight is the Exhaust System right in the hood.
