Postponed: the VW Bus Festival will not come until 2023!

Due to the current situation in Europe, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is postponing the VW Bus Festival to summer 2023 (new date June 23-25, 2023). The original plan was to hold the meeting with several thousand VW buses from all over the world from July 15 to 17, 2022 at the Hanover Exhibition Center. Lars Krause, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles for Sales and Marketing: "The VW Bus Festival is a big topic on all of the community's social media channels, and the response is huge. We can therefore understand the disappointment of the Bulli fans about the postponement. At this point we would like to ask for your understanding of our decision. Nobody knows today what the situation will be like in July. However, we do not want to celebrate when war is raging in Europe and people who have fled arrive in Hanover and need to be cared for.The Lower Saxony state capital is currently the central point of contact for refugees in Lower Saxony. Krause continues: "We will hold the festival a year later, in summer 2023 - and start ticket sales this year.In 2007, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles held a major VW Bus Festival in Hanover for the first time. At that time, more than 3.500 camping vehicles were registered and more than 70.000 visitors came to Hanover.
