401PS & 597NM in the Ford Focus MK2 RS from BR Performance

Reading time 3 Min.

It was July 22nd, 2008 when Ford first presented the production version of the Focus RS at the London International Motor Show. The clear difference to the 226PS strong ST was immediately visible. Particularly noticeable are the wide fenders with large 19-inch wheels with 235 tires and a significantly wider track. The front and rear aprons had also been completely redesigned. The eye-catching diffuser and the large rear wing increased the downforce on the rear axle and the 305PS & 440NM torque did the rest in conjunction with the 6-speed manual gearbox. Thus armed, the production version can go up to 5,9km / h in 100 seconds fly and only at 263km / h was the end. But even in an RS, the daily journey can become everyday life. But especially in everyday life you need more variety and joy. What is meant is tingling joy that begins when you get into your car in the morning as a proud car owner. Anyone who does not see their loyal and expensive companion merely as an everyday object would therefore like to want a little more power in the drive train. It doesn't matter whether you drive a car with a conventional three-cylinder engine or even call a V8 your own - the desire for an increase in performance is often well founded, even if you, as the vehicle owner, only superficially know about tuning.

401PS & 597NM in the Ford Focus MK2 RS from BR Performance

This Ford Focus MK2 RS owner, who had his RS professionally upgraded, apparently harbored the same thoughts and wishes. And who do you think he hired with the tuning measures? - It is no secret that BR-Performance Luxembourg is known far beyond the regional area of activity for performance enhancements on vehicles of all kinds, which even on vehicles that are already very powerful at the factory provide a clearly noticeable increase in performance.

401PS chip tuning = more driving fun for little money

At the moment the aforementioned Focus RS is published on the website of BR-Performance, of course we do not want to withhold its successful increase in performance. As already mentioned, the Focus originally had 305PS & 440NM torque, which thanks to modern tuning technology became a whopping 401PS & 597 NM torque. This is undoubtedly a performance boost that will astonish owners of the same vehicle model with series performance when the car unfolds its full performance and leaves the competition behind. While the production model achieved a lap time of 8:26 minutes on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, this model should be able to do significantly more. BR-Performance does not give much more information about tuning the Focus RS on its website, but the published figures alone are convincing. As always, we present everything we could learn about the Focus RS in a summary below. Since we sometimes overlook something that you may have noticed immediately, we would be happy if you post the changes in our "comment box".
