A good 90% of everyone who wants to tune their car comes up with the idea of installing a new set of alloy wheels. Even before an increase in performance by means of chip tuning or lowering, new aluminum rims are statistically the most popular tuning utensil. Understandable because the standard rims are often not necessarily ugly but very much trimmed to mainstream optics and of course not very individual. What could be more obvious than looking around on the shelf of mbDESIGN GmbH & Co. KG to see if there is a fancy alternative to the wheelset installed ex works? The owner of this Lamborghini Gallardo did just that and swapped the standard rims for a mbDESIGN KV1 wheel set in 20 inches. If you look at the rim selection of mbDESIGN GmbH & Co.
KG in more detail then we will understand why! mbDESIGN stands first and foremost for quality, there is also an appealing selection of different designs and as you can see, there was something suitable for the Gallardo. Of course we would like to show you the whole thing with pictures and have therefore decided to introduce the car to you. In addition to the visually appealing and well-fitting alloy wheels, the Lambo has received a few other modifications that we are only aware of based on the photos, unfortunately we do not have any technical information yet.
No matter the main focus of the car is clearly on the already mentioned KV1 wheelset which, as already mentioned, certainly does not miss the standard rims and is an absolute asset to the Lamborghini Gallardo. I think the car immediately looks more dynamic and sporty, which can never be wrong. We took a closer look at the car and made a few comparisons with the production version and were able to determine one or two changes to the aluminum. What we have learned directly from mbDESIGN and have recognized ourselves, we provide you in a summary as usual below. These are the known changes to the series:
- mbDESIGN wheel set (type KV1, 20 inch, 9 × 20 concave
HA: 12 × 20 strongly concave, VA - specially machined inner contour for large brakes) - Foiling two stripes over the vehicle (Stripes and an Italy Stripes)
- partly red brake calipers (Italia Design)
- Lowering (original coilover suspension)
- possibly a sports exhaust system (more information is not available)
- New steering wheel Covered with leather and Alcantara, and 12 watch mark
- Superleggerra rear spoiler
- Engine Original
