Not just the employees of Opel - Opel people are proud of their company, their performance and themselves - every Opel driver is a bit of an Opel fan and many are part of the tuning fan base. A classic example are the Manta drivers. Tuning a vehicle played a big role in the Manta fan base in the 1980s. And other Opel drivers were also really inspired by it. In 1988 the production of the Manta series was stopped - after 18 successful years. And many other Opel models no longer exist either.
