Twisted Automotive was founded by Charles Fawcett in 2000. Fawcett has been from the beginning Land Rover Surrounded by vehicles, as the father had made his money selling and repairing the robust classic since the 1970s. And the family even drove a Land Rover Defender. And at the age of only 11, Charles had his own Series 3 pickup, which did not always run smoothly. So he learned early on to understand the technology of the Defender and repaired his vehicle with the help of his father at a young age. Charles then officially joined the family business in 1995 and founded Twisted Automotive five years later in 2000 as a secondary business. The focus of the new company was initially on engine tuning and general improvements for the then Land Rover 200 / 300tdi Defender, Discovery and Range Rover series. Up until 2008, the demand for expert advice and individual tuning for the Defender rose steadily, making Twisted a full-time company. From 2009, the team will focus exclusively on the Defender and has already restored and converted countless vehicles. And by 2020, an electric drive even moved into the company's range of services.
