The design team around X-Tomi Design has come up with something new. After this "Basic model" Ferrari 488 GTB, with black steel wheels and unpainted bumpers now comes the Audi R8, also in the basic version therefore. Also, the R8 must take with steel wheels, not in black as in the Ferrari but in silver. The exterior mirrors and the bumpers and the side skirts are held in drab plastic gray.

Basically, in my opinion, the idea isn't even that bad. At least on the racetrack, nobody is guaranteed to miss a painted bumper. It can also be assumed that the Audi R8 as the "basic" model has shed a few pounds. Because amenities such as seat heating, radio, floor mats, etc. do not belong in the "base". The whole thing is only bad if the engine has also received a "downgrade", a 1,4 liter TSI is certainly not suitable for fast cornering, at least not in the R8.
