Electric shock: the Abarth 595 EV makes the scorpion electric!

Tuner Abarth has set itself the goal of being purely electric by 2024. That means the next generation of the Abarth 595/695 will be the first electric model in history. A corresponding statement was made by the Fiat boss Olivier Francois off some time ago. But how can you imagine an Abarth 595/695 based on the Fiat 500 E? There is a high probability that something will happen to the electrical basis of the 500 E with a 42 kWh battery and 87 kW (118 PS) & 220 Nm and hopefully more efficient collect. Even in things Sound we expect a significant upgrade at the push of a button, in the form of a whisper option and a sporty sound experience in typical Abarth manner. The rest should be based on the previously known recipe with a new one Suspension, strengthen Brakes and sharpened optics orientate. We also expect the typical Abarth on the Stromer Spoiler, design stickers and alloy wheels. Abarth is currently talking about acceleration to country road speed in about 7 seconds and a top speed of a good 160 km/h. At the same time, this statement also makes it clear that the Stromer will “for the time being” lag behind the performance of the current Abarth combustion engine.

And if nothing happens to the battery, then the range according to WLTP will probably also decrease significantly due to the possible additional power. Especially if you have the Stromer appropriate to the species emotional. The typical Abarth interior will NOT lag behind the current models. Here we expect pretty much all the options that are also available for the previous combustion engines. So others Seats, new Steering wheelVarious leather upholstery and maybe even one later Roll cage. What is already clear is that there will be two body variants (coupé & convertible). Whether the 3 + 1 variant with an additional door will come as an Abarth Stromer is rather unlikely. In any case, it will be interesting to see how exactly the Abarth 500 Electric 595/695 based on the Fiat 500 E will present itself.
