Audi A8 Avant based on the A8 from Castagna Milano!

Due to the increasing popularity of SUV models, it will probably never officially be one Audi Avant A8 give. But this is not a reason to despair; it opens up new possibilities. So maybe there will soon be a body shop that will take care of the Audi A8 in order to convert it into a classy sports suit. At least it has been planned for almost 3 years. But now the topic is boiling up again. Apparently wants Castagna Milano (Body builder from Italy) now put the Audi A8 station wagon into practice. There are probably new plans that reveal that the Audi A8 Avant will be created, but there will only be a limited number of them.

A station wagon from carbon fiber should be placed on the A8 to do something about the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo competition close. In addition to the hatchback, there should also be the off-road elements of the little brothers A4 allroad and A6 allroad to underline the practical and robust impression of the A8 Avant. The chrome roof rails as well as the side skirts and bumpers are based on the design of the Allroad models from Audi, which means that the luxury station wagon should look similar to its brothers. There is also a rear window, which is smaller compared to the sedan, and slightly misshapen small ones side windows, By the two-tone paint the Avant conversion is highlighted.

 6-liter W12 from the sedan

Castagna Milano leaves that 6,3 liter W12 engine from the A8 under the sheet metal (the basis for the conversion is the A8 W12). The engine performs stately 500 hp and 625 Newton meters of maximum torque, whereby it should help the station wagon to a sports car-like performance. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via the well-known automatic transmission.

Our Conclusion to the planned Audi A8 Avant:

A daring project, especially in times of the SUV boom. Even the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is not a great sales success for Porsche. For a small series, however, the demand should be sufficient if the Italian body builder Castagna Milano actually plans to launch the vehicle.
