BMW fans are currently focusing on the new M2 when it comes to the 2 series. The new top model, which will probably be the last M model without electrification, is eagerly awaited. But not only the new M2, but also a conventional 2-seater coupé of the previous generation can have its charms. Especially when the tuning company Senner dares to work on the model. The Senner Tuning team offers a comprehensive package of components for the small sports coupe from Munich. We would like to present this to you today!
19-incher and more depth
In addition to the lowering using an ST KTA Plus 3 coilover kit, the 2-series also got new rims. These are 19-inch wheels called Barracuda Inferno, which shine with a silver finish and double-spoke design. The mounted tires measure 225/35 R19 on the front axle, while tires in the format 245/30 R19 found their way onto the two-seater on the rear axle. In order to guarantee the best possible fit, however, changes had to be made to the rear fenders. The coilover kit mentioned above allows not only individual height adjustment but also rebound and compression adjustment of the dampers. As a result, it adapts optimally to all road conditions, whether in the high or low speed range. The modifications to the vehicle are completed by black kidneys, a front spoiler and window tinting.
The 2er has been upgraded to 304 hp!
The 2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which does its job under the bow, has been pushed to 304 PS & 430 Newton meters of maximum torque. Its standard output is 245 hp and maximum torque is 350 Newton meters. A DTE pedal box also ensures better response from the unit. A modified sports exhaust system from a 335i ensures the best possible sound. Unfortunately, we don't know anything about the performance, but we assume that the vehicle is a pocket rocket. It's small, light, and rear-wheel drive.
Our conclusion on the BMW 228i from Senner Tuning:
