We currently need your help! Garage Eve.ryn, from Osaka in Japan, has released a few new pictures of a BMW i8 with Energy Motor Sport Bodykit. The body kit has been known to us for a long time than in two reports (1 & 2) we have already written about it. As early as December 2015, the tuner spoke of having installed 21 inch BBS rims on the i8. But we did not quite understand that until now because the 5 twin-spoke Alu wheel is used by Energy Motor Sport ENERGY INDIVIDUAL TYPE4 and where exactly the reference to BBS is remains hidden to us: s Does BBS perhaps only produce the aluminum wheel especially for Energy Motor Sport (Japan) and is it therefore not on the BBS website or what is behind it? Please explain to us, we don't want to die stupid 😀 Apart from the wheelset, the i8 got the EVO i8 body kit this time in carbon fiber, which we think is excellent for the hybrid. The whole thing consists of a front bumper, various air ducts, new fenders with air openings, side skirts, new rear fenders with attachments, a new rear bumper and two separate wing spoilers at the rear. The i8 has also been lowered a good bit, which makes it look much fuller. There is not much more to say about the car, so we leave it at the photo story for the time being and hope that you can answer our question above. If we get more information about further modifications made to the i8, there is of course, as always, an update for this post. These are the changes to the BMW i8:
- EVO i8 body kit (front bumper, rear bumper, two-part rear wing, new exterior mirror covers, fender flares all around with air outlets)
- unknown BBS alloy wheels (forged, 21 inches)
- High-performance Pirelli P-Zero tires all around
- unknown lowering (sports springs, coil springs, sports suspension, coilover suspension, air ride air suspension - Info is pending)
- modified brake system (data unknown)
- possibly a performance increase - (Chiptuning, tuning box etc. - Info is still pending)
- possibly a sports exhaust system (info is still pending)
Thanks to a small survey on Facebook, we learned that it is a BBS rim designed by the Energy Motor Sport Team. You could be you BBS ENERGY INDIVIDUAL TYPE4 nennen 😉 Thank you Jun Aoki!
