So far we haven't been able to report much about the BMW M550d, why? Maybe BMW has exhausted the turbo diesel engine with its mighty 381 PS and 740NM already far enough? Not in life! MM-Performance did it with an 425 PS version, and AC-Schnitzer already has the engine on 441 PS brought. Now comes G-Power and shows what is possible in the over-combo everything.

The tuner gives the triple turbo-charged 3,0-liter six-cylinder powerful 435 PS and 850 NM torque. Enough to sail across the track in the G-Power BMW M550d at over 270 km / h and to sprint to 100 km / h in just 4,5 seconds.

850NM torque

Unfortunately, the absolute V-Max. not specified, but good 300 km / h should be in it.

Fast heating oil combination from G-Power! The BMW M550dThe tuner achieves the extra power by installing the specially developed "D-Tronik 5 V1" power module. So that the power comes consistently on the road, a set of 21-inch G-Power Hurricane RR forged wheels (front 9j and rear 10,5j) was installed with tires in the dimensions 255/30 front and 295/25 rear . The big advantage of these rims is the enormous weight difference to the standard rims. It also seems that the 5 Series has been lowered, but I'm not sure.

News

We have found a few more details for you! On the part of G-Power there are two types of performance of the M550d (here as F10 Limo) to increase. As mentioned above, you can do it using the external D-Tronik 5 V1 power module, which has the advantage that the full power of 435 PS and 850 Newton meters of torque is only available at full throttle because the tuning box remains inactive in the partial load range. Or you can do the whole thing using classic chip tuning (map change) Bi-Tronik 2 V1 which means that new software is installed on the engine control unit and the series software from BMW disappears. The advantage here is the option to be able to respond to the individual wishes of the customer in terms of performance development and response behavior, and the performance is always available with this variant.

  • Hurricane RR forged wheels are available on the current vehicle (in 20 or 21 inch available, different colors, price from 8.026 Euro (21 Zöller is available from 9.103 Euro)
  • Prices for the map change (2.499 Euro)
  • Prices for the service module (2.758 Euro)
