Forget the 400 bhp BMW B57D30 - 3,0 liter six cylinder (internally called "V8 Fighter") from BMW which is forced-ventilated as a quad turbo with four turbochargers. This Isuzu D-Max truck comes from Thailand 5 turbocharger may please. And that although the 3-liter 4JJ1-TCX only has 4 cylinders. From the factory it is actually equipped with a VGS turbocharger and, with the Isuzu “BluePower” system, has an output of 190 hp and an impressive 450 Nm of torque. But this copy has five GReddy turbos installed and probably enjoys a significant increase in performance (the exact basic data is unfortunately not known to us at the moment). Each cylinder was given its own turbocharger and the workmanship looks quite successful right up to the successful welds.
the processing looks good
How effective the setup is, however, is somewhat questioned. Especially with regard to the fifth turbocharger, which is somewhat oddly integrated into the system and should cause a certain unrest. And by the way, you also have a nitro injection installed, the container of which is housed on the loading area. The gas then appears to arrive in the engine compartment at some point using an elaborate pipe system. Most of the factory equipment was thrown out in the cabin and replaced with a sports seat. A few additional displays keep the driver up to date and only a 20.000 watt extraction directly above the windshield would have been a good idea. Under full load, the black cloud of fog is directly in front of the driver when the wind is unfavorable, so that he can hardly see what is going on in front of him.
"Some" performance from the bottle
In addition to the extensively modified engine, the D-Max was also given a set of ultra-light RAYS motorsport rims including semi-slicks, there was a high-quality endless sports brake system with slotted brake discs and blue brake calipers, and a subtle lowering by means of a sports suspension was installed. The bonnet was removed completely because it would have had to be cut out so huge that it could hardly be called the bonnet. Add to that slightly modified aprons, fenders without extensions and the crazy conversion is done. We are excited to see whether concrete information on effectiveness and in particular the power yield will be known in a timely manner and whether there will be any further changes to the Isuzu D-Max truck.
