MPS Engineering is showing its Toyota GT86 Turbo GT5xx

The Toyota GT86 and the "German" tuners are not really making headway. Why actually? The base is perfect for tuning. There are some exotic conversions like the GT86 from Rowen & Tommykaira but no one has really had any power so far (apart from the Toyota GT86 MPS GT400 Turbo, which also came from MPS Engineering), and it does not come from Germany either. The tuning company shows us today, however, that it can be more blatant and with a lot of steam and all that coupled with German approval. The tuning team around MPS engineering has on this Toyota GT86 made the following changes:

  • Toyota GT5xx
  • 450 PS
  • Turbocharging (GT3040 Turbo from HKS)
  • Rocket Bunny widebody kit
  • Ibis-white paint
  • Intercooler from MPS
  • T3 twin-scroll manifold
  • two wastegates
  • Sports exhaust system from Tomei (weight 8kg) made of titanium
  • forged pistons
  • stronger connecting rods
  • three oil coolers for the engine the differential and the gearbox
  • Hankook evo S1 tires (225/35 R19 & 275/30 R19)
  • XXR rims (19 x 9,75 and 19 x 10,75 inches)
  • On request: Semi-Slicks Federal (FZ201 - 225/40 18 and 265/35 18) with XXR rims in 18 x 8,8 and 18 x 10 inches
  • 380 mm brake discs / 6-piston monoblock brake calipers from Brembo from the Porsche GT3 Cup (front)
  • adjustable dome bearings
  • Competition suspension by KW Suspensions
  • Rear seat removed
  • four-point belts
  • Roll cage from Wiechers
  • Sparco steering wheel with 330 mm diameter
  • Dashboard with Alcantara
