The current Rezvani Tank is an extreme SUV based on the Jeep Wrangler and now with one Hybrid drive can be equipped. The new e-hybrid tank was unveiled by Rezvani a few days ago and it is the first vehicle of its kind to be delivered. What is the Rezvani Tank? The Rezvani Tank is an SUV developed by California-based US manufacturer Rezvani. It uses the platform of the Jeep Wrangler JL and has countless modifications that make it a unique and extreme vehicle. The tank has a particularly martial design. It features a gaping grille, slim headlights, a prominent crossmember logo, and a beefy body with lots of angles and edges. The tank is 4,98 meters long, 2,13 meters wide and 2,10 meters high and weighs between 2,1 and an insane 3,1 tons, depending on the equipment.
Rezvani Tank as hybrid version
The tank also has room for four or five people, depending on whether you opt for the optional center console or a classic rear seat. The seats are always covered with leather and can be ordered in different colors and patterns. The dashboard is also leather-trimmed and boasts an Alpine infotainment system with a 7,9-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. By the way, in the vehicle from the pictures it is a nappa leather with a caramel finish that was installed.
The tank is not only visually striking, but also technically impressive. It has a ladder-type frame, rigid axles, selectable four-wheel drive with off-road reduction and optional off-road chassis with Fox shock absorbers. The brakes come optionally from Wilwood and have 16-inch discs at the front and 14-inch discs at the rear. The wheels are usually 20 inches in size and have off-road tires on them.
What Makes the Rezvani Tank a Hybrid?
And the tank can now optionally be equipped with a hybrid drive that combines a petrol engine with an electric motor. The petrol engine is likely to be the 2,0-liter four-cylinder with turbo and 270 hp from the Wrangler 4xe, with a 44hp electric motor in the front and a 134hp electric motor in the rear. The electric motor uses a 48-volt mild hybrid system from Magneti Marelli, which supports the petrol engine when starting and accelerating and recovers energy when braking. The hybrid drive is said to reduce fuel consumption by up to 25 percent and increase performance. The electric drive is fed by a 17 kWh battery and brings the total output to 375 hp and a torque of 639 Nm.
The tank also has an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF and can be driven in different driving modes: Eco, Normal, Sport and Offroad. The hybrid drive enables the tank to drive up to 50 kilometers purely electrically and also reduces fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions compared to a purely petrol engine. However, the hybrid drive is an optional extra for the tank and it costs $8.500 extra at a base price of a whopping $175.000. The first hybrid version now came in silver metallic satin with a set of black finished rims and off-road tires. However, the tank is also available with other engine variants, including a 6,4-liter V8 with 500 hp, a 6,2-liter supercharged V8 with 707 hp or with over 1.000 hp.
What are the special features of the Rezvani Tank?
The Rezvani Tank also has other special features that set it apart from the usual SUVs. It is also optionally available with armor, which is intended to protect the occupants from bullets or explosions. The armor is made of Kevlar and steel plates and may also cover the windows.
