Video: Toyota Supra Mk4 with crazy 6,9 seconds time!

[Update: September 27.09.2023, XNUMX] This post was updatedto take more recent information into account. A completely crazy Toyota Supra Mk4 is now the fastest car with manual transmission on the quarter mile with a crazy 6,9 seconds. The Supra Mk4 comes from the American tuning company Granna's Racing and is "for the time being" the fastest drag car with manual transmission. And so that everyone really knows, there was a clear reference to the world record as a sticker on the rear window. The quarter mile (402 meters) was made by the Grannas Supra, surnamed “Orange Man Bad”, in just 6,9 seconds and at the finish the speedometer showed a top speed of 194,77 mph (approx. 313 km / h).

This is made possible by an extremely modified 2JZ-GTE six-cylinder with around 1.800 hp and a special manual transmission from Grannas Racing. And "Orange Man Bath” is not unknown. Last year the vehicle delivered an amazing result with a time of just 0,27 seconds. Although the overall quarter-mile time was slower back then, the speed was actually higher at 205 mph (approx. 330 km/h). So the Japanese might now even hold two niche records.

Grannas Racing sets world record

A Toyota Supra Mk4 has taken the motorsport world by storm: with an impressive quarter-mile time of just 6,9 seconds, the vehicle is hailed as the fastest manual car to date. Tuner is the US tuning company Granna's Racing. To ensure that no one misses the record, there is a large sticker on the rear window. During the record run, the Grannas Supra, also known as the “Orange Man Bad,” reached a top speed of 194,77 mph (approx. 313 km/h) in the quarter mile. The heart of the vehicle is a 2JZ-GTE six-cylinder engine, which has been tuned to an incredible +1.800 hp.

Toyota Supra Mk4: A classic from Japan!

The Supra Mk4, which was produced between 1993 and 2002, is already a cool piece in its standard form. It is known for its 2JZ inline six-cylinder engine. The turbo engine already performs in its standard form 330 PS and 440 Nm torque. This enabled the Supra to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds. With the characteristic silhouette, the extendable rear spoiler and the twin turbo logo on the front fenders, the Supra Mk4 became a cult vehicle. It is impressive to see how much potential the icon has, which has been fully exploited by Grannas Racing to delight the world of drag racing fans.
